Brain network based stratification of mental illness - STRATIFY

STRATIFY is a European research project that aims to identify neural networks that underlie reinforcement–related disorders such as MDD, ADHD and AUD. We evaluate whether those configurations of neural networks match the psychiatric diagnostic categories and whether they correlate with symptom clusters across diagnoses and thus contribute to the comorbidity of those mental disorders. The measurement of brain activity as well as behavioral, cognitive and genetic parameters will lead to the development of a neurobiological model for the stratification of psychopathology - long-term, specific therapeutic interventions are to be established. The study is led by Kings College London (KCL, PI: Gunter Schuman) and has been funded by the European Research Council (ERC).
